A human princess. A dark-elf prince. A kiss of fire and powder.
After a failed courtship in an ally kingdom, twenty-one-year-old Princess Alessandra returns home to a land torn apart by mutual hatred between the humans and the dark-elves. The "Beast Princess," as Aless is known by courtiers, confidently sets her mind to ways of making peace, but her father has already decided for her she is to marry one of the mysterious and monstrous dark-elves to forge a treaty, and go on a Royal Progress across the kingdom to flaunt their harmonious union. While she intends to preserve the peace, the Beast Princess has plans of her own.
Prince Veron has been raised knowing his life is not his own, but to be bargained away by his mother, the queen of Nozva Rozkveta, to strengthen the dark-elf queendom. When his mother tells him he is to marry a self-absorbed, vile human, he is determined to do his duty regardless of his personal feelings. After arriving at the human capital, he finds the "Beast Princess" rebellious and untamed—and not to be trusted.
Aless and Veron face opposition at every turn, with humans and dark-elves alike opposing the union violently, as well as their own feelings of dissonance toward each other. Can two people from cultures that despise one another fall in love? Can a marriage between them bond two opposing worlds together, or will it tear them apart for good?
If you like the fantasy and politics of Danielle L. Jensen’s Malediction Trilogy and the romance of Elizabeth Vaughan’s Chronicles of the Warlands, No Man Can Tame will lure you into its world and not let you go.
Buy No Man Can Tame today, and journey into a medieval world of magic and Immortals, masquerades and games, love and blood, and a tale as old as time…
Note No Man Can Tame was previously published in the boxed set Of Beasts and Beauties. This is a revised second edition. Unlike many fantasy books, the Dark-Elves of Nightbloom series is NOT a clean read. If you enjoy your books free of love scenes and adult situations, this series isn't for you.

"I had a major book hangover after I read Radiance and Eidolon, to the point where I fell into a reading slump. However, I'm glad it didn't last long. Miranda Honfluer's "No Man Can Tame" was the cure I needed. It was exceptional! I felt like I was part of the story and I wanted to live in Nightbloom. The love story made me swoon and had me up until 1:00 AM. Now I'm sad, because I want to read book 2 but it has not been released yet."

No Man Can Tame DarkElves of Nightbloom Book 1 eBook Miranda Honfleur Reviews
- I had a major book hangover after I read Radiance and Eidolon, to the point where I fell into a reading slump. However, I'm glad it didn't last long. Miranda Honfluer's "No Man Can Tame" was the cure I needed. It was exceptional! I felt like I was part of the story and I wanted to live in Nightbloom. The love story made me swoon and had me up until 100 AM. Now I'm sad, because I want to read book 2 but it has not been released yet.
- I have tried to read this twice, mostly because the review compare it to Grace Draven's wonderfully written "Radiance". No...Just ...NO. I simply could not get past the bad writing, the bad editing and the scattered Italian words. I very rarely give books a scathing review but this one was simply not well written. It is a shame, because the premise is solid. Heavily edit, change some names, et al and it could be a wonderful nook.
- I absolutely loved this story from start to finish. I would constantly check how much I had left to read because I didn't want it to end. The story pulls a few traits from The Beauty and the Beast fairytale and creates a fresh and unique spin on the beloved tale.
-----mild spoilers-----
Princess Alessandra (Aless) has been sent out repeatedly to different kingdoms to find a suitable marriage, in hopes of controlling and taming her by her father. Once again she returns home unmarried and no new prospects, resulting in her father arranging a marriage for her. According to him she is set to marry one of the monstrous and mysterious dark-elves in order to forge a treaty and then to strengthen the treaty by Royal Progress to show a united front and harmonious union. She knows that there is no way out, but she isn't going to go without standing up for herself.
Prince Veron on the other hand, has been raised knowing he is to be bargained off by his queen to strengthen the Queendom. He only has one hope and request that he can trust his new bride and that she marry him willingly.
The couple face opposition at every turn, making their journey a treacherous one which brings them closer together as each page goes on.
Aless is brave, using her intelligence that had previously been surpressed and blatently ignored. She is a strong female character who doesnt go weak in the knees because a strong man is presented to her. Reading through the development of herself and Veron was heartwarming, and just an overall pleasure. - I am picky as hell about my romance. Especially my fantasy romance.
And I can honestly say that this is one of the best romances I have read in a long time.
This book did not disappoint me in any way. I adored the characters, the settings, the plot, and the romance. It was absolutely amazing. Seriously, it's not often that I find myself legitimately jealous of a heroine, but damn if I didn't want to be in Aless's shoes the entire time I was reading. Even some of my favorite romance authors occasionally annoy me with alpha heroes that have severe control issues and superiority complexes, but Veron is a character that I both understood, respected, and adored, every step of the way.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys slow-burn epic romance, mysterious magic, fantastic worldbuilding, and well-developed characters. - Be aware that this book has already been available in the box set ‘Of Beasts and Beauties’. I accidentally bought this one full price thinking it was a new offering from this author as it has been a while since I read that set. Would be great if there was a mention above on the listing that it has also been published in another form.
- This is my first time reading a book by this author and I can't wait to read more! I really enjoy the way she weaves a story, while slipping in small but unique bits that all fall in place later. Its a nice comfortable read that I didn't mind losing sleep over and now I'm looking forward to the next one in the series. She has ceated such an interesting and beautiful new underground world that I sincerely hope will produce many more books in the series!!
- This is a wonderfully written piece of romantic fantasy. The tale of two worlds colliding, finding similarity in the differences and lastly finding love.
Alessandra is a princess who wants to follow her dreams but knows that her decisions are not always going to be her own.
Vernon a prince and dark elf is loyal to a fault and his sense of duty to the queendom unquestioned.
Arranged for marriage to bring peace between the two kingdoms and an united force against the immortali that kill indiscriminately Alessandra and Vernon must find a way to prove to each other and the kingdom's the meaning of peace. And just maybe love along the way.
I love those two characters! This was such a good read. - I like the two protagonists, and the take on what it would be like if fae were suddenly to reappear was unique. There was anachronistic language, however, and I never really bought into the chemistry between the love interests.
